Robert Half is looking for a veteran Collections Specialist with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail. This role is with a company in the Automotive field. This Collections Specialist role will be based in the Markham, Ontario region and will be a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity. Apply today for immediate consideration!

Responsibilities

Update customer files to ensure data integrity
Record all customer payments to the correct reports
Accurately process bankruptcy filings when received
Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
Yield to all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations
Administer all billing and reporting activities in response to deadlines
Act as a company representative in upholding quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
Process Payments
Manage inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence

Job Requirements :

Excellent written / verbal communication and organizational skills

AA or BS / BA in Accounting preferred

Effectively analyze customer accounts make decisions based on said analyses

Prior experience working with accounting software

2+ years of prior high volume collections experience

Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Command of Microsoft Excel
