Robert Half is looking for a veteran Collections Specialist with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail. This role is with a company in the Automotive field.
This Collections Specialist role will be based in the Markham, Ontario region and will be a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity.

Responsibilities
- Update customer files to ensure data integrity
- Record all customer payments to the correct reports
- Accurately process bankruptcy filings when received
- Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
- Yield to all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations
- Administer all billing and reporting activities in response to deadlines
- Act as a company representative in upholding quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
- Process Payments
- Manage inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence
Job Requirements :
- Excellent written / verbal communication and organizational skills
- AA or BS / BA in Accounting preferred
- Effectively analyze customer accounts make decisions based on said analyses
- Prior experience working with accounting software
- 2+ years of prior high volume collections experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Command of Microsoft Excel
