Duties
The Human Resources Assistant duties will vary depending on the HR team to which the Human Resources Assistant is assigned.
Typical duties would be to :
Provide administrative and technical support to HR Advisors, Leaders and others on the HR team.
Compose, format and produce a variety of human resource documentation.
Arrange meetings and organize materials.
Administer HR programs, assigned projects, and assist in conducting HR-specific processes.
Provide CER staff and leaders with information concerning HR programs, services, and systems.
Assist in the creation and updating of business process procedures and work instructions, create and maintain files.
Maintain and up-date HR databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity; prepare regular and ad-hoc reports
Assist in project managing staffing processes and HR projects, events, meetings or programs.
Intent of the process
Qualified candidates may be used to staff other similar positions at an equivalent or lower level on a term, indeterminate or acting basis.

Education :
Completion of post-secondary education in a related field or an acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience.
Experience :
E1 Experience performing a variety of routine and non-routine administrative tasks in a high-volume environment.
E2 Experience providing direct client-service and using information systems to track requests and report on progress.
E3 Experience in MS Office applications (such as Microsoft word, excel, outlook and teams).
Experience refers to depth and breadth associated with having performed the administrative function. The amount, the complexity and the diversity of handled files, as well as the autonomy level may also be taken into consideration.

Asset Qualifications
AQ1Experience providing support services in one or more of the HR disciplines such as performance management, staffing, employee relations, compensation, classification, organizational development, organizational health, and safety.
AQ2Experience supporting programs, services and initiatives for equity seeking groups such as persons with a disability, Indigenous peoples*, racialized persons, women and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
AQ3Experience in providing administrative support in Human Resources in the Federal Public Service.
