Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain infrastructure and developer tooling that empower Homebase engineers to deliver exceptional software.
- Lead improvements to internal developer tools that streamline workflows and reduce friction in the software lifecycle.
- Drive the optimization of our AWS infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Influence infrastructure architecture decisions by evaluating and implementing emerging cloud technologies and best practices.
- Serve as a point of contact for infrastructure needs and on‑call rotations, helping teams resolve questions and incidents.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across engineering teams to accelerate impact.
- Experiment with AI‑powered observability, automation, and workflow retooling to continuously improve developer velocity.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in Software Development or Infrastructure Engineering.Strong background in infrastructure with experience in AWS and cloud services.Familiarity with developer tooling and improving developer experience using data‑driven metrics.Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools, preferably Terraform.Solid understanding of containerized applications and deployment processes.Some experience with, or interest in learning Ruby to maintain Ruby‑based internal tools.Experience acting as a point of contact for infrastructure needs and helping answer questions during on‑call rotations.AI fluency : you’ve experimented with AI tools, and you’re curious about retooling workflows with automation to boost developer productivity.Benefits
