Unit Summary
The Regional Cancer Program serves a population 1.4 million people across the Hamilton, Niagara, Haldimand, and Brant region of Ontario.
The Cancer Program includes the organized delivery of high quality cancer services from prevention to palliative care. The Regional Cancer Program works in collaborative partnerships with all hospitals, organizations, agencies and key stake holders in the delivery of cancer services.
Position Summary
1) Lead and manage projects from design and implementation through to evaluation and close-out within the areas of Cancer Care
2) Coordinate and conduct analyses of the cancer system to identify gaps, and opportunities for integrated cancer service delivery across the system (prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, palliative and survivorship),
2) Foster regional relationships among cancer service providers that will improve the health of the population, integrate
cancer services, and improve the patient experience.
3) Provide project management support for regional initiatives that have broad impact across the region and partnering
institutions / stakeholders, advancing priority initiatives tied to the Regional Cancer Program Strategic Plan and Ontario
Health (Cancer Care Ontario) Cancer Plan.
4) Support continuous quality improvement initiatives across the cancer continuum, developing and implementing strategies to improve quality and performance of all cancer services.
The role is currently hybrid with requirement to be on site two days per week.

Qualifications
1. Post-secondary / Masters degree in health administration, health planning, business administration or relevant field
2. Certification, Project Management Professional
3. Demonstrated experience (5 years) in technical planning processes, analysis and evaluation of health care issues across multiple sectors
4. Demonstrated experience with initiatives aimed at improving integration and coordination within the health care system across multiple sectors
5. Demonstrated experience engaging and working effectively in partnership with a broad range of individuals and organization of diverse backgrounds, preferably within the cancer system / health care sector
6. Understanding of Ontario Health Cancer Care Ontario and Regional Cancer Program service delivery
7. Experience with provincial reporting requirements and data sets
8. Excellent organization and time management skills to manage a demanding workload effectively, in an environment of conflicting and competing deadlines
9. Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, along with proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with diverse health service providers
10. Demonstrated ability to thrive as a team player in a fast-paced collaborative team environment
11. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively respond to the needs of the intended audience As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to Employee Health Services.
