Java Developer

Position Description :

We are currently hiring for two experienced Backend Developers to support a large-scale Content Publishing initiative joining the Video Engineering team. The ideal candidates will bring strong hands-on backend development experience, with a focus on building scalable APIs and backend services.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code using Java (primary) or other backend languages.
• Work with relational databases to design schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, QA, and product teams.
• Ensure adherence to best practices for software development (SDLC, CI / CD, testing).
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing backend components.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

5+ years of professional backend development experience.

Strong proficiency in Java (preferred), with Golang and RUST is required.

Demonstrated experience in building RESTful APIs and / or microservices.

Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).

Experience using version control systems such as Git.

Strong understanding of SDLC, CI / CD pipelines, and automated testing practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience using Python for scripting, automation, or tooling.

Familiarity with AWS cloud services.

Exposure to containerization and orchestration, such as Docker or Kubernetes.

Experience working with message queues or event‑driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).

The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,–$,. This role is an existing vacancy.
