We are seeking top-tier talent to join our Infrastructure and Industrial division and build innovative projects in the transit and transportation sectors, such as roads, highways / freeways, bridges, interchanges, LRTs, BRTs, and airports.

About The Role

The Senior Project Manager reports directly to the Operations Director and will have an in-depth knowledge of Infrastructure / Civil construction projects.

As a Senior Project Manager at Graham you will :

Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interests and maintain good relationships with client

Ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule

Assist, review and negotiate contracts; liaising with legal counsel, as appropriate, in conjunction with Operations Manager

Develop, recommend and implement the project plan, after being awarded the project

Coach / mentor, provide direction, and review the performance of personnel reporting directly to the Project Manager

Monitor and control progress, costs and budgets throughout the project

Identify and mitigate risks

Act to resolve disputes between the Company and owner, or Company and subcontractors when possible prior to escalating

Identify required and optional changes in project scope; negotiate change orders with the owner

Manage claims and claims avoidance

Have knowledge of the business unit portfolio

Manage a team with regards to Internal relations and human resourcing

Promote upskilling and further learning

Be involved with industry and Company organizations and social events

Qualifications / Experience :

Civil, mechanical, electrical or Structural Engineering degree or related technical degree

At least 7+ years’ experience leading Infrastructure Projects ($25-300 million) with a General Contractor

Knowledge / experience on water or wastewater projects along with concrete projects

Business unit portfolio experience

Experience with running multiple jobs

Projects with BC Hydro or Fortis BC considered an asset

Detailed understanding of all aspects of construction : technology, equipment, materials, bid management, claims management and safety

Compensation :

$131,000 - $160,000 per annum

Salary with commensurate with education and experience
