Job Title : Millwright

Job Description

This role involves the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of high-speed machinery in processing and packaging areas. You will convert high-speed packaging machines to accommodate new product formats, investigate and recommend equipment modifications, and execute necessary adjustments to maintain quality control standards. Additionally, you will perform safety inspections, lubrication, and minor electrical repairs on machines.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete paperwork, close work orders, create notifications, and complete preventive maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with the Engineering department on machine modifications and the installation of new machinery and production systems.
• Work closely with operating colleagues to ensure high-quality products are produced within budgeted efficiencies.
• Understand and follow food safety systems and procedures, ensuring all products meet GMP and food safety requirements.
• Actively participate in the development of IL6S tools and systems, including Equipment Criticality classification, Adjustment Points, Centerlines, Visual Controls, CIL, troubleshooting manuals, and technical expertise within teams.
• Participate actively in Changeovers and Sanitation on the line, seeking opportunities for improvement through Poke Yoke and SMED.
• Use Root Cause Analysis tools to correct issues and eliminate breakdowns.

Work Environment

Work in a food manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, raw materials, some dust, and variable temperatures. Personal protective equipment is required, including protective footwear, hearing protection, hard hats, and safety glasses when necessary. Collaborate with a maintenance team of 20, including 14 millwrights and 2 maintenance planners.

The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $44.00 / hr.
