Assembly Shop Fitter (H / F) – SAFRAN LANDING SYSTEMS
Safran Landing Systems is the global leader in aircraft landing gear and braking systems. The Assembly Shop Fitter role involves assembling, inspecting, and troubleshooting landing gear components to support flight operations and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Assemble aircraft landing gear components, shock struts, actuators and flight controls to supplied drawings and process instructions.
- Identify proper and improper fits, alignments and condition of components during assembly.
- Read blueprints, hydraulic schemes and explain the function of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components.
- Use hand and machine tools to perform machining, tooling and inspection tasks.
- Work required shifts and demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate effectively with team members in a high‑performance manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
3 to 5 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance or manufacturing.Proven problem‑solving skills and experience / exposure to lean manufacturing.Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License is an asset or five years of related experience.Ability to read blueprints & hydraulic schemes and explain component functions.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Self‑motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.Skills & Core Competencies
