We are currently seeking a Site Leader (RN or LPN) for 120-LTC community in Nanaimo, BC. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, the site leader plays a crucial role in supporting the Interdisciplinary Team to deliver safe and high-quality care and services within the Care Home.
The position aims to foster a culture of compassion, innovation, and empowerment, underpinned by strong leadership and teamwork.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure the delivery of effective, efficient, and person-centered care and services within a safe and healthy environment, with a focus on continuous quality improvement.
- Align Resident care and service delivery with the organization’s philosophy, annual goals, and the organization's mission, vision, and values.
- Cultivate a connected culture that promotes collaboration and achieves common goals.
- Encourage a collaborative approach among team members to support each other's professional development and enhance service delivery.
- Establish positive working relationships with Health Authority contacts, other health service providers, and community agencies.
- Promote a proactive approach to performance by providing clear targets, expectations, and regular discussions through the Performance Recognition and Development Program.
- Offer coaching and advice to employees to help them meet position expectations.
- Optimize occupancy levels and stay compliant with relevant legislation, including Ministry Acts, regulations, policies, procedures, directives, and collective agreements.
- Provide leadership in developing innovative programs and services that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
- Bachelor's Degree or a Diploma in Nursing or a related healthcare discipline preferred.
- Minimum five years' experience in seniors housing or residential care setting, with at least three years in a management or administrative position.
- Eligible for membership in a relevant professional association.
- Previous experience in a unionized environment preferred.
- Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, financial analysis.
