What you can expect to do here
The Senior Process Engineer will function as the process discipline lead on projects ranging from conceptual studies to detailed engineering of large megaprojects. You will work on facilities across Canada and globally as part of our growing Energy & Process division.
Lead the process discipline on projects, manage client relationships and project quality, and ensure budget and schedule targets are met.
Coordinate with team members, other WSP groups, equipment vendors, clients and sub-contractors; communicate project status and needs.
Prepare technical reports, specifications, process schematics, and layout drawings; review deliverables from junior and intermediate colleagues.
Perform process and technology selection, equipment sizing and specification, mass balance, hydraulic analysis, and 3D layout reviews; review analyses and designs by junior staff.
Mentor and provide on-the-job training for junior and intermediate colleagues.
Manage multiple simultaneous projects; support budgeting, strategy development, staffing and training programs; collaborate with senior staff for resource planning.
Primarily hybrid-based consulting work with some opportunities for travel and fieldwork.
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
12+ years of experience as a process engineer in a consulting environment; lead experience is an asset.
Experience in oil and gas (gas processing), hydrogen, carbon capture facilities.
Current P.Eng license in your province of residence.
Experience with HYSYS or ProMax is an asset.
Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills; strong project management and leadership abilities.
