Job Summary
Apply your sound judgement and analytical skills in a key leadership role
The Strategy Management & People Office (SMPO) works to drive a collaborative, disciplined, and nimble project management and results oriented approach within the Ministry of Health through a focus on planning, decision-making, delivery and culture.
Job Requirements :
- Degree in a related field (such as business administration, public administration), and 3 years of related experience*; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and related experience* may be considered.
- Related experience must include all of the following :
- Experience managing high-profile and complex projects.
- Experience establishing collaborative relationships with project teams, clients and executives to ensure successful implementation of the project(s).
- Experience providing clear and concise communication, including briefing or decision notes, verbal briefing, and presentations.
- Experience in using reporting tools or intuitive dashboards.
- Experience in business planning, contract management, and financial management.
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in the following areas :
- Have formal project management training and / or certification or will be qualified to complete project management training and / or certification within 6 months of commencement.
- Experience working with executives in government.
- Experience in using advanced Microsoft Office tools (ie Excel, Power BI)
- Experience working collaboratively with Indigenous peoples.
Preference may be given to applicants who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit).

About this Position :
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
