About this Role : Employment status : Salaried, Full-TimeSalary : TBD + Benefits & RRSPLocation : 16th Ave - Unit 1, Richmond Hill, OntarioReporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, the Director, Mass Marketing is responsible for the mass marketing activities of the organizationEssential Duties and Responsibilities : Create and execute a mass marketing strategy to advance the core mission, vision and overall strategic plan of the organizationDevelop and manage the annual mass marketing budgetCommunicate information regarding the organization, its mission, its activities and the impact of donated dollars to targeted audiencesPromote and guard the organization’s brandParticipate in program strategy development, providing the donor voice and perspective in discussionsManage and coach a team of marketing, production and creative managersWork closely with Hope and Healing International’s technical experts, support services and full marketing team to implement the annual mass marketing planAnalyze results, adjusting the mass marketing plan to reach goals effectively and efficientlyResearch and network in the industry to stay abreast of developments, with an eye to opportunities 3-5 years outReporting to and communicating with leaders at every level of the organization, as appropriatePerform other job-related responsibilities as assigned Our ideal candidate would have : Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field is requiredAt least 8 years of proven experience in marketing or fundraisingThree or more years of experience managing staffExperience in working in a not-for-profit environment is preferredMust be able to demonstrate strong strategic and analytical thinkingMust be able to demonstrate strong managerial skillsExcellent written / oral communication skillsComprehensive knowledge of donor-centred fundraisingBroad understanding of mass marketing and mass communication utilizing current media and emerging technologies (radio, TV, mail, print, face-to-face, phones, web, social media, etc.
Knowledge of philanthropy landscape and trendsProven leadership abilitiesAbility to succinctly articulate the organization’s mission and the case for support in a clear and compelling mannerSelf-motivated strategic thinker with a proven record working independently and in a team to achieve resultsWork effectively under pressure with competing prioritiesWorking knowledge of MS OfficeExperience working with a donor management software Working conditions and other requirements : Standard office environmentMust be fully committed to the core values and mission of Hope and Healing InternationalMust be eligible to work in CanadaMust be willing to work outside of normal business hours in relation to the organization’s events and meetingsMust have a reliable source of transportation Why would you want to come and work with us?
