Health and Safety System Specialist, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement

As a Health and Safety System Specialist, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement within the Health and Safety team, you will be involved in the development and improvement of the company's health and safety management system.

You will have the opportunity to work in supporting our operational teams according to the specific needs of the sites or certain clients.

You will also be involved in the analysis of the root causes of the company's high-potential accidents as well as in the research and implementation of corrective measures.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain, in collaboration with the various regional HSE and operations teams, the company's programs and policies in accordance with the company's needs, regulatory requirements, and best practices in HSE within our industry;
  • Ensure regulatory monitoring and good practices in occupational health and safety to support the development and updating of the company's programs and policies;
  • Actively participate in the implementation during the launch of new OHS initiatives;
  • Evaluate the organization's needs in terms of OHS systems and databases, make recommendations, and stay informed about the best existing systems;
  • Audit the sites according to an established schedule and issue recommendations to ensure the continuous improvement of our management processes;
  • Develop specific documents (PMU, procedures, forms) in support of the SST team;
  • Support the field teams in investigating the root causes of high-potential accidents and propose / implement corrective measures;
  • Participate in the implementation of the ISO 45 001 standard;

This role could be for you if you have

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in health and safety or an equivalent combination of training and experience;
  • 7 years of experience in a prevention role in the construction or industrial sector
  • Functional bilingualism (optional)
  • Valid driver's license
  • ASP Construction Card
  • Agent Card for Construction Sites (asset)
