Typical Day in Role :
- Manages Cloud acceleration program financial processes and executions that enable achievement of financial and business goals including budgeting, financial planning and forecasting (zero-based budgeting), financial reporting, contract management, invoices processing and tracking, vendor management, financial consolidation, consolidation of project portfolio project and portfolio status tracking.
- Manages the comprehensive financial review, analysis and evaluation of Cloud acceleration program financial processes’ performance and reporting highlighting significant trends, performance measures, and developments.
This analysis must measure performance against established benchmarks the bank’s strategic objectives and business objectives and the returns expected from specific expenditures.
The primary users of the reports are Cloud acceleration program financial processes management and the Bank’s Executive Management.
Commentary must be relevant for the users and provide an information framework of decision-making and management action.
- Manages the preparation of cloud acceleration program financial processes annual budget proposal covering volume growth and cloud acceleration program financial processes operating expenses and project budgets, in the context of cloud acceleration program financial processes business objectives, opportunities and historical performance patterns.
- Support / Advise the preparation of cloud acceleration program financial processes Business Case Pool Plan, Capital expenditure Forecast based on the business priorities for cloud acceleration program financial processes.
- Prepares / Supports / advices cloud acceleration program financial processes delivery and Project Managers And Project Controls Officers on consolidated project portfolio status and financial reporting.
- Provides ongoing responsive, professional financial management advice, recommendations and support to the VP, of Enterprise Data Management.
This includes the preparation, presentation, and review of financial information in addressing cloud acceleration program financial processes’ results.
- Contributes to the successful team performance in accordance with the Governance and Regulatory Compliance team. This encompasses support to other team members, individual contribution to the team and shared responsibility of the team’s attainment of objectives.
- Participates in the cloud acceleration program financial processes and audit processes to ensure that cooperation and successful reviews are conducted within the specified timeframe.
- Participates in the cloud acceleration program financial processes and business continuity plans to ensure that working teams develop maintain and test applicable business continuity plan(s) consistent with cloud acceleration program financial processes and regulatory requirements.
- Generates Key Performance Indicators / Key Risk indicators to provide factors of reference in that effectively measure and development, performance or associated risk of cloud acceleration program financial processes business activities and operations.
- Provides monitoring and oversight of established internal processes and controls and identifies and develops new internal processes to align with cloud acceleration program financial processes policies, processes, and roadmap.
- Provides ongoing direction, coaching, and support the team, which includes providing regular feedback and guiding the team to ensure the timely delivery of departmental objectives.
- Participate in establishing project scope to ensure focus on delivery.
- Support resource requirement identification and expectation management.
- Create project plans and manage dependencies in accordance with project team needs.
Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills :
- 5+ years of Financial Project Management experience, with experience in large enterprises, preferably in the banking industry (PCOs or Financial analyst, or PMO analyst or Financial governance).
- Track record managing financials for projects of high complexity, high risk and large budgets including Monthly forecasts, accruals, and invoice processing ($10 Million+).
- Understanding of Agile project management principles and practices and experience managing projects in an Agile environment.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., CA PPM, MS Project, PowerPoint) and techniques such as budgeting, risk management, resource planning and contract management.
Nice-To-Have Skills :
- PMP.
- Vendor Management Experience (Managing contracts with Third-party vendors).
- Visual Story Telling Experience (Visual Presentations, Graphs, PowerPoint, etc.).
Soft Skills :
- Strong communication (verbal / written / presentation).
- Analytical skills.
- Mature interpersonal skills with the ability to work with, and influence, all types of professionals.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, or related discipline such as financial education or background is an asset.
Best vs. Average Candidate :
Best candidate would have financial management experience in the Big 5 Banks.
