Responsibilities

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the candidate must be a dynamic individual with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

The traffic coordinator creates successful relationships with carriers, shipping personnel, customer service and all other company employees.

Knowledge of the shipping industry locally and / or internationally would be considered an asset.

• Negotiate freight rates with partner carriers;
• Coordinate shipments with Shippers and Consignees;
• Responsible for tracking and tracing shipments;
• Work with Sales and Customer Service on logistics related tasks;
• Prepare freight related reports as requested by Management

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Freight / Traffic;
• Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook);
• Some knowledge of Customs formalities;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Problem solving and multitasking ability;
• Detail oriented with a strong sense of priority.
