Event Coordinator

Profile : Our client is the manufacturer of specialized protective eyewear and is looking for a marketing coordinator to work on a 14-month contract.

Your role, as part of the marketing team, will be focused on event planning and coordination, managing a budget and managing the inventory of our marketing material.

This job will provide you with variety in a fast-paced environment. The successful person has great people skills and a strong attention to detail.

This is a b2b marketing role.

Territory : Canada

Workplace : Montreal hybrid (2 days at office and 3 days home office)

Products / Services : Protective eyewear

Salary : Base $50,000-$60,000, depending on experience

Commissions / Bonus : N / A

Functions :

• Manage events such as trade shows
• Book flights and hotels for both clients and staff
• Coordinate the arrival of our material to trade-show location
• Build a schedule which includes trade show days and dinner reservations
• Manage the budget for trade shows and marketing material
• Follow up on billing and where they fit into the budget
• Source ideas for gifts and giveaways
• Anticipate needs of marketing materials and order in advance
• Manage the receipt of marketing materials
• Distribute to sales team
• Make suggestions on how to automate things, where you see fit

Requirements :

Development vs Maintenance : N / A

Languages : French and English

Education : Bachelor or College DEC in marketing preferred

Training : Full training provided

Overnight Travel : No overnight travel

Years of experience : At least 1 year experience in a similar role

Other requirements : Experience marketing b2b is necessary
