Our Toronto head office is located near Toronto Pearson International Airport. Principal Responsibilities Process and post bank transactions daily Post entries to customer ledger;
submit invoices to the customer online per company process and procedure Follow-up on outstanding invoices with customers and support collections Process customer credits and debits Reconcile customer statements Match and process AP invoices in NAV Ensure accurate processing of accounts in compliance with policies and procedures, with correct application of taxes Reconcile vendor statements Respond to enquiries from external and internal customers Support month-end and year-end closing process Must be able to work extended hours at year-end Assist with the execution of ad-hoc projects as assigned Key Competencies Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented personality Ability to identify a problem and take necessary action to address current or future issues Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement Capacity to make decisions quickly in time-sensitive situations Keen desire to learn the business to improve organizational performance Supervisory skills Stress tolerance Must Have Advance Excel skills is a must Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision, Microsoft NAV) an asset Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, Office 365 Education and Experience Accounting Degree or equivalent Working towards an Accounting Designation (CPA, CGA, etc.
Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles Knowledge of Canadian taxes 3 5 years of experience in a similar role Applicants will undergo an Excel test and are required to achieve a minimum score of 70%.
