Daily work responsibilities for this position :

  • Exceeding expectations to our diverse client base
  • Professional and effective correspondence with clients, regulatory agencies, lawyers, engineers, surveyors and industry peers
  • Coordination of projects with our experienced land administration and land agent teams
  • Effective communication and direction to teams
  • Consultation and acquisition for various surface interests
  • Manage all aspects of a project from Public consultation, ROW acquisition, regulatory compliance, construction and reclamation and land requirements for regulatory filings

Skillset of the successful candidate :

  • High level of integrity and ethics
  • Exceptional reporting and management skills
  • Strong computer skills and proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity, confidence and commitment to work on linear projects
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize a variety of urgent tasks
  • Field experience with surface land acquisitions, construction attendance
  • Rural and Urban field experience with acquisitions and third-party agreements
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Positive, friendly, and professional interaction with co-workers and clients
  • Experience using Spin II, ETS, OneStop, EDS system, ILRR, myLTSA, CORES, and ISC
  • Knowledge of First Nations / Metis Consultation process
  • Experience with Regulatory Acts and their corresponding guidelines, including but not limited to AER, BCER, AUC, CER, and Land and Property Rights Tribunal
  • Experience with attendance before various Boards and Authorities is a benefit but not required

What you need :

  • Land Agent Diploma or similar alternative
  • Valid Alberta Land Agents License (preferred)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid Commissioners for Oaths in the Western Provinces
