What your day will look like
Project Management & Design
- Management of transportation engineering projects and multidisciplinary project teams (including transportation, bridge, electrical and water resource engineers, transportation systems planners, environmental planners, environmental scientists, technical support staff,
- Continuous development of technical expertise on a variety of transportation engineering projects, environmental assessments, preliminary design, detailed design and construction phase services
- Lead the preparation of technical reports and studies to support the development of transportation designs, including EA documentation
- Lead the preparation of contract documentation, including contract drawings, construction specifications, tender quantity and cost estimates, and working day estimates
- Management and delivery of stakeholder consultation programs and municipal council and agency presentations
- Provide regular and effective communication with clients, develop and oversee project budgets and take overall responsibility for successful project delivery
Business Development
Prepare estimates and project proposalsTake a leading role in maintaining the MTO client relationshipIdentify and develop new business opportunities, in collaboration with other projects managersContribute to the leadership of the Transportation Facilities GroupBusiness travel for project meetings and to other Dillon offices upon request.Learning & Development

What you will need to succeed
A degree in civil engineeringLicensed to practice as a professional engineer in the province of OntarioA minimum of 15 years related work experienceProven leadership and business development capabilities.Experience
Proven experience with the MTO environmental assessment process, and preliminary / detail design of provincial facilities infrastructure.Previous experience with alternative project delivery modelsDemonstrated abilities in the management and leadership of multidisciplinary project teamsExceptional abilities in project managementProven skills in public and agency consultationProficiency using Microsoft Applications (Teams, Word, Excel, and Google SuiteStrong verbal and writing skills, including experience in the preparation of technical memos and reportsCompensation :
$100,000 / y - $150,000 / y
Dillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region. Dillon reserves the right to pay outside of the posted range, contingent on factors unrelated to an applicant’s gender or other status protected by provincial and / or federal law.
