The Architectural Territory Manager British Columbia Region will work closely with the Loewen Sales Professionals and Inside Sales Support team.

The core responsibilities of this position are the development of current and new relationships with architects and designers, while providing ongoing sales support and backup coverage as needed for the team.

What You Will Do :

  • Drive sales within the team by relentlessly developing current and new relationships with architects and designers within the residential and light commercial building / construction community.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to Design / Build contractors, Interior Designers and the Architectural community.
  • Call on the Architect community (to present and promote products and build awareness for the purpose of generating project specifications).
  • Participate and be an active supporter in appropriate Fen-BC FGIA member meetings or events.
  • Conduct lunch & learn meetings to provide education on product characteristics or new products.
  • Provide timely and accurate technical information for product specifications and quotations.
  • Follow up to make sure that product information as provided is sufficient and specifications meet requirements for quotes and order entry.
  • In addition to the British Columbia Region, be able to provide support for our Alberta region as required.

What You Bring :

  • Outside sales or architectural sales experience is essential with knowledge of building materials windows and doors experience is preferred.
  • Familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elements.
  • Provide design community feedback regarding product requirements / improvements, design trends, and building code changes / requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Provincial / Regional / Civic building codes, NAFS and thermal performance requirements would be an asset.
  • High level of responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Ability to effectively present in front of varying size groups both formal and informal.
  • Handling objections by taking initiative and finding creative solutions is critical.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and build / maintain strong relationships within architectural community is essential.
  • Demonstrated consultative selling skills.
  • Proven time management focus and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Team player who has a record of achieving and exceeding company and team objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and CRM tools.
  • Manage and maintain timely CRM entries.
  • Knowledge of the architectural community in the British Columbia Region of Canada.
  • Preferred location in, or able to relocate, to Vancouver and / or surrounding area.
  • Ability to travel the US and Canada along with a valid passport / driver’s license.
