The Manager, Service Sales will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the growth of Genrep’s Service business. In doing so, the Business Development Manager, Service Sales will drive business development while simultaneously focusing on maximizing and extending existing Service Business through Service Contracts / Agreements, Corrective maintenance and Special Projects across the Toronto, Ottawa, and Leamington locations.
Main Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and execute Genrep’s strategy for Service growth and opportunity.
- Ensure sales strategies are executed to meet set revenue and margin targets.
- Perform a combination of inside and outside sales, focusing on establishing new contracts, maintaining the lifecycle of existing contracts, and building meaningful customer relationships.
- Develop, implement and execute sales process for Service including quote follow up to close new business ensuring all incoming calls and requests for new contracts or repairs are handled.
- Ensure all contract quotes are generated via ERP system and assist customers with new maintenance contract requests.
- Ensure accurately completed proposals and prepared responses to ensure profitable service agreements
- Establish price strategies that optimize sales and profit by understanding the market.
- Establish and maintain executive level relationships with new and existing Service customers
- As business grows, onboard, develop and manage Service Sales team resources to support continued growth targets
- Provide leadership and mentorship for Service Sales team members
- Travel within your defined geographic territory and build relationships and business activity. Maintain an ongoing state of professionalism when meeting with customers, promoting company, and tending to client requests.
- Achieve monthly and annual emergency generator service agreement sales goals.
- Work with Finance department for credit approval to set up new accounts.
- Work closely with the Sales department to enhance bids and build customer relationships.
- Learn, understand, and demonstrate knowledge of, generator maintenance requirements pertaining to CSA 282 / Life Safety generators.
- Other duties as required.

Desired Skills, Knowledge and Experience :
- Post-secondary education with a diploma / degree in business management, marketing or engineering.
- 3+ years of relevant inside / outside sales experience.
- In-depth knowledge & understanding of industrial gensets. Comfort with explaining Genrep products.
- Experience with ERP systems. Experience with Epicor is an asset.
- Awareness of TSSA, CSA rules and regulations is an asset.
- Outstanding business acumen with an ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Go-getter attitude equipped with a specialty in and building & maintaining long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Goal-oriented, energetically focusing efforts toward meeting priority objectives.
- Proven skills at establishing and building key business partnerships both externally to drive revenue and internally to optimize effectiveness and efficiency.
- Must hold a valid G Class driver’s license with access to reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Written and oral fluency in English. French communication skills are a strong asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
