Transit Equipment Maintenance Technician

Position: Transit Equipment Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Field office located in Etobicoke with travel to various sites across the GTA Salary: $25 per hour Schedule: Alternating (Sunday-Thursday nights, field-based / Monday-Friday days, in-house) Job Type: 6-month contract Our client, a leader in solutions for transportation systems, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team on a 6-month contract. This is a hands-on role where you'll be refinishing stainless steel products and working with fare gate systems in transit stations across the city. What You'll Do:- Refinish stainless steel using heavy power sanders and hand tools - Dismantle and reassemble large electro-mechanical devices - Work on-site at transit stations, alongside customer representatives - Handle both in-field night shifts and in-house day shifts on an alternating schedule - Interact professionally with the public while working in open, accessible environments What We're Looking For:- Valid Ontario G driver's license and access to reliable transportation - Experience with hand tools and mechanical dismantling/reassembly - Comfort with physical work, including handling heavy power sanders - Background in auto body work or similar mechanical/technical trade is a strong asset - Ability to work independently, follow safety protocols, and adapt to changing environments Additional Requirements:- Successful candidates will undergo a background check, including driving history Please send your resume in Word format to Chandra DuQuesnay at cduquesnay@quantum.ca.
