JUNIOR GLAZING ESTIMATOR

We are looking for a Glazing Coordinator with a background in commercial glazing and project coordination. The product lines include Framed & Frameless Glass Doors, Glass Railing, Curtain walls, and Specialty Mirror and Other Glass applications.

Candidates should be self-starting and highly motivated, with the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment and take on more responsibilities as experience is gained.

The position reports directly to the Contracts Manager of JJ Home Products Division. This position also works closely with sales, operation, and installation teams.

The position has the general freedom to prioritize work and act within the parameters of the job. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Read tender package, strong blueprints reading skills, and technical documents.
• Prepare Material Takeoffs and quotations.
• Attending site meetings to ensure accurate execution and managing all installation administration activities, including timekeeping, material and equipment control.
• Create, Complete and Modify shop drawings to be approved by the clients.
• Develops a trusting relationship with builders and subcontractors to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Able to assist with takeoff and estimation on residential projects, as needed.
• Responsible for flow of projects within departments.
• Collaborate with the project team to coordinate project schedules, materials and equipment to ensure proper execution.
• Work on projects of various sizes and complexity, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
• Review shop drawings, provided by clients, related to glazing and cladding
• Any other related duties related to the scope of the job may be requested from time to time by the General Manager. QUALIFICATIONS :
• Minimum 2 years of work experience as a glazing estimator.
• Basic knowledge of C.R. Laurence, INKAN and similar industry related Glazing Products, is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is an asset.
• Any related Sales or Field experience is an asset.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Architectural Diploma, estimating certificate, or education in the related field is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with excellent time management to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Highly motivated and strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and decisionmaking abilities.
• Experience in using computer programs specific to this role (Word, Excel, outlook, Planswift)
