Duties & Responsibilities
As a Financial Analysis & Decision Support Manager you will be responsible for the following :
- Participate in semi-monthly operations leadership meetings and concept specific initiatives.
- Preparation of operations level bonus calculations (monthly accruals and quarterly payouts).
- Work effectively across all functions including Operations, Marketing, and Culinary to develop and maintain analysis to assist SIR Corp.
in making critical business decisions : Modelling projections for marketing and operations initiativesPre / Post analysis for marketing and operations initiativesGeneral sales and menu analysisGift Card sales analysisVarious ad hoc analysis
- Assist the Marketing team in the development of their marketing fund budgets, tracking of spending and ongoing comparison of actual to budget spending.
- Maintain menu models to support decision making regarding pricing, profitability, menu promotions, and addition / modification / deletion of menu items.
- Design and implement user friendly operations management reports in Power BI.
- Provide support as needed for financing initiatives including proformas and ROI calculations.
- Work with IT to evaluate and optimize methods and procedures for collecting and leveraging data on an ongoing basis.
- Work with operations teams to prepare annual and quarterly financial targets.
- The Financial and Decision Support Manager is expected to work as a pooled resource and work assignments will be altered as needed to balance workload at peak times and for certain projects and assignments.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or Business (BComm, HBA, MBA etc).
- Working towards or have completed CPA designation or MBA program.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis or similar capacity.
- Previous experience working in restaurant operations would be an asset.
- Strong project management, problem solving and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated track record of analytical capabilities and the ability to work with and interpret big data to provide insights.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel (i.e. advanced functions, complex models, pivot tables, VBA).
- Intermediate skills in MS PowerPoint.
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau would be an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational, time and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task several concurrent projects.
- Flexibility, high-energy level, drive for results attitude.
