Job Summary :
The Health and Safety Coordinator will play an active role with Precise ParkLink’s health and safety team in maintaining and continuously improving the company’s COR accreditation. The Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and administration of safety in-house and on project site(s).

Employment : Full-time
Hours : 40hrs / week. Monday-Friday
Compensation : Salary to commensurate with experience
Job Responsibilities / Duties :
Assist with conducting toolbox talks, job hazard assessments, inspections and audits
Develop construction project safety plans, monitor, and enforce worker and subcontractor compliance
Develop health and safety policies and programs, safe work practices and safe job procedures
Conduct new worker training / orientation and maintain online training software programs
Maintain statistics and records
Provide guidance and support to the Joint Health and Safety Committee
Assist with incident investigations and provide recommendations for corrective actions
Manage WSIB claims and the return to work process
Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on health and safety legislative requirements and best practices
Qualifications :
Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety required
Three to years previous experience in occupational health & safety management
Knowledge and experience with the Certificate of Recognition (COR™) Program required
Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Canadian Registered Safety Technician
CRST), National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designations considered an asset
Proficiency with MS Office applications
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
Effective organizational skills with demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to build rapport and buy in with the ability to maintain confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Ability to provide flexible coverage / hours of work to meet operational needs
Valid driver’s license
