Overview

Global Banking and Markets Engineering (GBME) is the fast-moving, award-winning technology engine that powers Scotiabank’s Corporate, Investment Banking and Capital Markets businesses. The role supports these teams by bringing application performance expertise using Dynatrace and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Dynatrace to monitor application health and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement performance monitoring strategies for GBM applications.
• Conduct performance testing (load, stress, endurance) and analyze results to identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize code, queries, and configurations for better performance.
• Provide recommendations for capacity planning and scalability improvements.
• Develop dashboards and reports to communicate performance metrics to stakeholders.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for performance-related issues.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in application performance engineering.
