This Hybrid position is available at several locations in Western Canada : Calgary , Edmonton , Lethbridge , Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Vancouver .
Our Western Region subsidiary has the following full-time permanent position opening : Mechanical Engineer Western Canada
Responsibilities :
- Develop designs, mechanical drawings and specifications, project schedules and budgets;
- Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary design team;
- Provide mentorship to junior technical personnel;
- Support project management requirements;
- Provide construction supervision, conduct document and field reviews for assigned projects;
- Support positive client interactions and business development activities including proposal preparation;
- Prepare and conduct presentations to clients.
Key requirements :
- Eng. registration in BC and / or AB;
- BS or MS degree in Mechanical engineering
- Intermediate / Senior engineer with 3 to 10 years of experience in building and industrial HVAC , plumbing & drainage, refrigeration, steam, hot water and fire protection system design;
- Experience in process engineering (light industrial, food and beverage or pharmaceutical facilities) an asset;
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes and regulations;
- Ability to travel to client sites in Canada and the USA;
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and food safety an asset;

- Ability to timely identify and resolve issues;
- Attention to detail and accuracy;
- Proven leadership ability;
- Strong ability to work in a team environment;
