Job Description
Our Energy team specializing in hydropower and dam engineering is looking for a Senior Project Manager / Engineer with specific expertise in civil / structural engineering as well as in the rehabilitation of hydraulic structures and hydroelectric power plants, mainly with the client Hydro-Québec.
We offer a flexible hybrid work model, enabling you to work from home and from one of our offices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Act as a project manager or multidisciplinary coordinator for major projects related to dams and hydroelectric facilities.
- Supervise the design of hydraulic structures and works.
- Participate in the management and technical coordination of major projects.
- Participate in the preparation of proposals.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients.
- Master technical solutions and ensure their adequacy with clients’ needs.
- Plan project stages, monitor the progress of deliverables, and ensure compliance with the schedule.
- Ensure quality control of project practices.
- Support and verify the work of other specialized engineers (civil / structural, hydraulic, heavy mechanical, geotechnical, or electrical)
- Coordinate and supervise the work of engineers, technicians and draftspersons involved in the projects
Qualifications
- University Degree in Civil or Mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Master’s Degree, Business Administration Diploma or Project Management certification (an asset)
- More than ten (10) years of experience in the field of hydroelectricity / hydropower and dams
- Member of l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- This position requires bilingual proficiency as a fundamental skill, empowering you to engage effectively with our diverse stakeholders including clients, partners, and cross-functional teams in both French and English nationwide.
