Our client is a consulting engineering firm specializing in seismic engineering and mechanical system design. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team.
- Analyze complex problems and design innovative solutions to solve them;
- Collaborate with other engineers and professionals within and outside the organisation;
- Deliver safe and efficient services on time and on budget;
- Allocate resources for project execution;
- Develop design prototypes, if necessary, for non-structural seismic projects;
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attend meetings, provide information and analyze data to write reports.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering;
- 10 years of experience carrying out engineering projects;
- Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA OR Pro / Engineer to create 3D models;
- In-depth understanding of the principles of structural mechanics, including material strength, structural dynamics and stability;
- Able to calculate stresses, deformations, thermal expansion and resistance of materials;
- Familiar with properties of materials (metals, composites, polymers) and their application in the design of structures;
- Project management skills to plan, coordinate and execute projects;
- Knowledge of safety standards, building codes and applicable industrial regulations;
- Experience in carrying out prototype testing and validation of designs;
- Available for frequent site travel across the province and country if necessary;
- Bilingual.
