Job description

Our client is a consulting engineering firm specializing in seismic engineering and mechanical system design. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team.

Analyze complex problems and design innovative solutions to solve them;
Collaborate with other engineers and professionals within and outside the organisation;
Deliver safe and efficient services on time and on budget;
Allocate resources for project execution;
Develop design prototypes, if necessary, for non-structural seismic projects;
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Attend meetings, provide information and analyze data to write reports.

Requirements :

Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering;

10 years of experience carrying out engineering projects;

Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA OR Pro / Engineer to create 3D models;

In-depth understanding of the principles of structural mechanics, including material strength, structural dynamics and stability;

Able to calculate stresses, deformations, thermal expansion and resistance of materials;

Familiar with properties of materials (metals, composites, polymers) and their application in the design of structures;

Project management skills to plan, coordinate and execute projects;

Knowledge of safety standards, building codes and applicable industrial regulations;

Experience in carrying out prototype testing and validation of designs;

Available for frequent site travel across the province and country if necessary;

Bilingual.
