Procurement Analyst

McKeil Marine is seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in the deployment of a new system within our organization.

The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to understand business needs, gather requirements, and ensure smooth integration and adoption of the new system.

As a Procurement Analyst, you will bridge the gap between business objectives and technical implementation, contributing to the successful deployment and optimization of the new system from the procurement perspective.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :

Implementation Phase :

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of new procurement systems and processes.
  • Analyze current procurement practices and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting to support decision-making throughout the implementation process.
  • Provide training and support to procurement team members on new systems and processes.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives and deadlines.

Post-Implementation Phase :

  • Transition into a key role within the Purchasing and Warehousing Team, leveraging insights gained during the implementation phase.
  • Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, forecast needs, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Collaborate with the warehousing team to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to drive cost savings and operational excellence.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on procurement performance and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a procurement or supply chain context.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with procurement software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills & Experience :

  • Strong data and warehouse management skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and procurement software implementation.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and warehousing best practices.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

Soft Skills :

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement.

Working Conditions / Special Notes :

The ability to work remotely at home as outlined by current Hybrid WFH protocols and policies.
