About the work environment :

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home.

Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8 : 00am and 4 : 30pm with flexibility around start / end times.

We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto or Vancouver offices. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

About the qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting systems in AWS.
• Experience with architecture and operation of container technologies, specifically Kubernetes.
• Expertise with Linux and Windows system administration, networking, and security, ideally in a cloud environment.
• Hands-on experience working with Infrastructure-as-Code, such as Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Solid understanding of IT security; including areas like software development, DevOps, network and cloud security, data security.
• Expertise with modern CI / CD systems and methodologies.
• Experience with microservices architecture and debugging / incident investigation techniques.
• Solid application and cloud infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience in communicating with technical teams and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs and understand product strategy.
• Experience influencing engineering and operations best practices within your team.

About the day-to-day :

• Participate in project and infrastructure design sessions.
• Implement and support existing and new infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and respond to identified incidents.
• Work with stakeholders across the business to balance and accommodate competing objectives.
• Manage IaC and application / code deployments and operations.
• Research, design, and implement tools and processes to continuously improve availability, reliability, and security of our systems.
• Work to reduce human intervention in operations tasks and processes.
• Participate in 24 / 7 on-call rotation.

Compensation :

Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $95,000 and $110,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that the chosen candidate possess.
