Reporting directly to the Vice President, Software Engineering & CTO, you are the driving force behind the development and quality of Croesus products. Your main mandate is to transform the strategic vision for products into operational reality by leading four key departments.
You are the guardian of velocity, predictability, and engineering excellence for an organization of approximately 100 developers and QA specialists.
You act as the primary driver for the adoption of cutting-edge tools and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to propel organizational excellence and engineering productivity.
SDLC Governance and Optimization
- Lifecycle Ownership : Define and implement Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards across all teams to ensure consistent execution.
- Process Optimization : Refine development methodologies to increase velocity without compromising security and robustness.
- Data-Driven Management : Establish and monitor engineering performance metrics to identify and eliminate bottlenecks.
- AI-assisted engineering : Drive adoption and oversee the use of generative AI tools (e.g., coding assistants, automated code reviews, documentation generation) to optimize team productivity and code excellence, while ensuring compliance with industry security and compliance standards.
Strategic Delivery Management
Delivery governance : Take ultimate responsibility for delivering roadmaps for flagship products (Croesus Xpert, Conseiller, Central, Integrations).Technological evolution : Lead the transition from the Windows product (Conseiller) to the web ecosystem (Xpert) while ensuring the stability of the solution.Change management : Ensure a smooth transition between existing architectures and new solutions, while maintaining the commitment and expertise of teams across the entire software portfolio.Predictability : Ensuring that delivery commitments to our customers are met with a high level of confidence.Technology adoption : Acting as the main promoter of the use of platform and CI / CD tools to automate and secure our delivery processes.Leadership and Talent Management
Talent Management : Supervise, coach, and evaluate the four directors (Development and QA) under your responsibility.Culture of Excellence : Promote a high-performance environment based on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.Capacity Planning : Manage budgets, recruitment, and talent retention to support the organization's growth.Skills Development : Support teams in developing their skills in AI tools and foster a culture of responsible experimentation to transform our working methods.Quality Assurance and Operational Excellence
Shared accountability : Establish a culture where quality is a shared responsibility among development teams, thereby reducing silos between code and testing.Modernization of practices : Lead the transformation from traditional quality assurance to a Quality Engineering approach, where testing is integrated from the earliest stages of development (Shift-Left).Version coordination : Ensure smooth synchronization between teams to meet contractual commitments to our major clients.AI-enhanced quality : Explore and integrate AI solutions for intelligent test automation, predictive anomaly detection, and regression test suite optimization.Cross-functional collaboration
Architecture & Ops synergy : Work closely with the Director of Architecture and the Senior Director of Infrastructure and Platforms to align development practices with technological foundations and deployment pipelines.Product interface : Act as a key partner for the Product Management team to translate business needs into high-performance technical solutions.Experience : Minimum of 12 to 15 years in software engineering, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.Technical expertise : In-depth knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.Analytical : Ability to use data and metrics (DORA or others) to influence decisions and demonstrate performance progress.Operational visionary : Ability to navigate between high-level strategy and complex delivery problem solving.People skills : Unifying leader, excellent communicator, and natural mentor capable of thriving in a growth environment.Industry : Experience in finance or WealthTech is a major asset.Technological vision : Strong curiosity and strategic vision regarding the impact of artificial intelligence on modern software engineering processes.Why join Croesus ?
