Overview
Senior Process Engineer position with WSP in Canada. The role focuses on leading process discipline activities on projects ranging from conceptual studies to detailed engineering of large mega projects. You will design facilities across Canada and globally as part of our Energy & Process division, contributing to climate adaptation and mitigation and low-carbon energy transitions.
What you can expect to do
- Function as the process discipline lead on projects, manage client relationships and project quality, and ensure budget and schedule targets are met.
- Coordinate with team members, other WSP groups, equipment vendors, clients, and sub-contractors.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, process schematics, and layout drawings; review deliverables by junior and intermediate colleagues.
- Perform process and technology selection, equipment sizing and specification, mass balance, hydraulic analysis, and 3D layout review; review analyses and designs by junior and intermediate colleagues.
- Mentor and provide on-the-job training for junior and intermediate staff.
- Manage multiple projects, handle resource management, provide project support to senior staff, assist with budgeting, strategy development, and staff training.
- Primarily hybrid-based consulting engineering work with some opportunities for business travel and fieldwork.
What you’ll bring to WSP
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.12+ years of experience as a process engineer in a consulting environment; experience as a Lead is an asset.Experience in oil and gas (gas processing), hydrogen, carbon capture facilities.Current P.Eng license in your province of residence.Experience with HYSYS or ProMax software is an asset.Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain client relationships.Strong project management and discipline lead skills.Why WSP
