Job descriptionGain valuable experience, build a better resume and obtain references. Receive training, a certificate and potential scholarship opportunities. Attend free events and receive tickets to sporting events, amusement parks, bowling, etc. Proof of COVID vaccination. Able to commit 3 hours each week for 12 months. Minimum age 16 years old.
Overview
Youth Assisting Youth (YAY) is a non‑for‑profit organization that pairs mentors aged 16‑29 with youth ages 6‑15 in Toronto and York Region.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Act as a positive role model to at‑risk and newcomer kids, engaging them in social, academic and recreational activities.
- Commit to a consistent weekly meeting, averaging 10 hours per month for a minimum of one year.
- Develop with the youth toward personal growth, mindset, character and leadership skills.
