The mission of the Planning Department is to build the corporate sales and inventory plan to entrepreneurially and methodically drive the business .

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing and our Planning team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for developing sound product plans to maximize sales while minimizing risk .

As the Merchandise Planning Manager , you will play a pivotal role in partnering with the business to drive reporting and analysis to enable data-driven decision making for the Product Division.

THE ROLE

As the Manager of Merchandise Planning you will :

  • Leverage a deep understanding of the business and competitive landscape to d evelop accurateseasonal and long-term projections.
  • Partner closely with Buying & Inventory Planning to monitor and report on performance against corporate OTB and projections.
  • Provide accurate and frequent product insights to drive future purchasing strategies.
  • Build and deliver inventory strategies to react to changes in demand; including chase, cancellation, re-flow, and exit.
  • Leverage strong relationships with Product Creative teams (Merchandising and Design) to understand how long-range trend forecasts w ill affect current inventory ownership & future projections.
  • Manage the amount of corporate inventory position .
  • Consistently e valuate Aritzia and Competitor product performance.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Manager of Merchandise Planning has :

  • Proven and best-in-class skills, education, and / or experience in Merchandise Planning
  • Advanced proficiency in data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience working closely with Product Lifecycle teams incl. Merchandising, Buying, Design, and Production.
  • Strong awareness of the overall product lifecycle is a must.
  • Able to clearly and confidently communicate with cross-functional partners at all levels.
  • A commitment to learn, apply, champion, and enrich Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
  • The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes
  • The ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the team

THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
