Residential Site Superintendent

Shane Homes is continuing to grow and currently looking for a full-time experience Residential Site Superintendent to join the Construction Team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :

Responsible for the cleanliness and safety of construction sites at all times and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Code.

Responsible for interpreting blueprints, change orders, floor plans, and engineering documents.

Creation & execution of construction schedules to bring projects to completion on time.

Ensures projects are built in accordance to approved documentation while maintaining the Shane standard.

Communicate and manage all day-to-day activities with trades, and suppliers while fostering positive relationships.

Ensure and verify trades work within their Scope of Work Agreement.

Ensure construction site is prepped for scheduled trades which include but is not limited to stairs, painting, drywall, framing.

Responsible for framing walk through with Trades, Area Managers, and homeowners.

Respond to all safety-related incidents including, but not limited to, accidents and near misses, and write a report that explains what happened, identifies the cause and recommends corrective actions.

Follow up as necessary to ensure that corrective action is taken.

Maintain an active and consistent line of communication with internal staff, trades & suppliers, and customers.

Supervise Construction Assistants

Update and maintain electronic tracking sheets for each job using internal software. Accountable to update the Work in Progress dashboard every Friday.

Ensure the highest level of customer experience.

Desired Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential new home construction.

Comprehensive knowledge of building code and safety requirements.

Solid understanding of residential homebuilding construction.

Ability to problem solve, multi-task, and use critical thinking.

Ability to adjust to changing environments and pivot as needed.

Ability to work in a team environment and mentor and coach colleagues.

Previous experience working with moisture control will be preferred.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Positively contribute to the Shane company culture and ability to lead by example.

Ability to lift, carry, bend, stand, and perform various physically demanding tasks throughout the day.

Must have and maintain valid Class 5 license and a clean driver’s abstract.
