Job Summary
This position is accountable to and draws authority from the Site Superintendent (90%) and from the Project Manager (10%) regarding issues on quality, progress, safety, schedule, and other matters related to the below responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Superintendent with overall site management and execution of day-to-day site
activities
Oversee and manage the general labour force and trade specific tasksPromote a safe work environment and ensuring all employees and trades work in a safe manner, following Stonerise’s Safety program and relevant safety legislation and regulationLiaising and maintaining positive relationships with trade partners and suppliersMonitoring work to ensure it meets Stonerise’s standards and all building and safety code regulations.Ensuring that required inspections with the building department, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction and scheduled and coordinated to maintain project deliverablesCompleting required Quality Control / Quality Assurance Inspections, assigning deficiencies to trade contractors, and managing deficiency close outAssisting in monitoring the project progress and schedulesCompleting regular progress reports, checklists, logbooks, and other required reportsKey Qualifications / Requirements
Construction-related diploma or degree, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience working on-site as part of large-scale developmentsExperience in High Rise Construction is a mustAdvanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control and engineering drawingsMinimum two to three (2-3) years in the construction industryExperience with relevant Construction SoftwareMS Office KnowledgeWorking Conditions and Physical Abilities
Capable of working in physical positions that may include kneeling, sitting, standing, squatting, bending over, etc.
