On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Junior Software Developer (12-Month Contract) to join their team.
Summary of the role : This position involves working as part of a team focused on the Notification as a Service initiative.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in full-stack development with experience in C# .NET, Angular, and SQL. A learning mindset and recent evidence of self-development are key.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Engage in agile software development activities as part of the team.
- Contribute to the DevOps lifecycle, including creating builds and testing.
- Participate in team processes, such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, and program increment planning.
- Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and stability issues.
- Utilize tools such as Visual Studio for code development, testing, and review.
Core Requirements :
- Some experience with C# .NET, Angular, and SQL.
- Familiarity with the full-stack development process.
- Experience with Visual Studio and agile methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Desired Skills & Experience :
- Prior experience in DevOps environments.
- Familiarity with Notification as a Service platforms.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Terms : This is a 12-month contract with a strong probability of renewal. The role is primarily work-from-home, with an expectation of being onsite 2 days per month at the Richmond, BC office.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check and reference checks at the offer stage.
