Sialco Materials Ltd. , the specialty chemical manufacturing division of CES Energy Solutions, is seeking a motivated individual for the position of Operator at our chemical plant in Delta, BC . This full-time employment role in covers a variety of functions and reports to the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
- Ready to work on the weekend and night shift if needed.
- Follow procedures and documents the work in batch making which includes machine set-up, raw materials preparation, loading, reaction, packaging of finished products in totes, drums and pails, and clean up.
- Observes safety precautions to prevent fires and explosions.
- Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunction.
- Records data from instruments and gauges concerning temperature, pressures and others.
- Follow safety and health procedures including proper use of PPE : goggles, gloves, and other apparatus required for the safe completion of the job.
- Ensure all equipment and workstations are in good working order and free of any safety hazards.
- Able to work courteously with others in a team environment.
- Other duties as required.
