Project Manager (ID#4560)

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company is seeking a Project Manager to support our client’s digital transformation.

The project involves transitioning to asynchronous online learning for Meditech Expanse training. The Instructional Designer / Content Developer will assess existing Medpower content, identify gaps related to specific workflows and processes, and create training materials to address those gaps.

These materials may include e-learning modules, video tutorials, quick reference guides, and other relevant artifacts.

Responsibilities :

• Develop a detailed work plan outlining how this package of work will be completed within the defined timeframe.
• Utilize health information system and adult education best practices in the development of content.
• Identify learning objectives and validate with clinical work streams as appropriate.
• Develop asynchronous online training content for various learning audiences.
• Stakeholder groups who will require focused training include, but are not limited to :
• Physicians / providers (e.g. hospitalists, emergency physicians, radiologists, surgeons, cardiologists, etc.)
• Nursing (e.g. inpatient nursing, outpatient / ambulatory nursing, operating room and post-anesthetic care unit nursing, etc.)
• Allied health professionals (e.g. physiotherapists, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, dietitians working in acute and ambulatory environments, etc.)
• Clerks and clerical staff (e.g. staff responsible for registration and scheduling, unit clerks, receptionists, etc.)
• Ancillary staff (e.g. pharmacists, pharmacy technologists, imaging technologists, cardiology technologists, etc.)
• Focus will be on the development of e-learning modules, but may also include classroom instructor manuals, clinical training scenarios, practice session guides, presentation materials, quick reference guides, video demonstrations, simulation scripts and competency evaluation tools.
• Develop and support Train the Trainer sessions, as needed.
• Support for e-learning content using Adobe Captivate.
• Conduct Adobe Captivate course / content audits.
• Potential support or delivery of in-person or virtual classroom instructional sessions.

Requirements :

• Experience with Meditech Expanse required
• Experience with Adobe Captivate required
• Clinical experience, or significant in-depth experience with clinical workflows, required
• Experience with Medpower preferred
• Experience in BC Healthcare preferred
• Experience in large organizations preferred
• Experience with large-scale clinical transformation and / or clinical information system implementation is preferrerd
• Strong knowledge of general workflows in an acute care setting
• Demonstrated expertise in the development of online adult education content
• Demonstrated ability to engage with clinical stakeholders and subject matter experts
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, effectively prioritize work, and pivot on short notice
• Strong problem solving, analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation, and facilitation skills
• Working knowledge of and experience with standard business and project management and reporting tools, including MS 365, Jira and / or Smartsheet

The hourly rate range for this position is $60- $90, with the final rate based on consultant experience and fit for the role.
