Substitute Teachers Open Call for 2024/2025

Buffalo Trail Public Schools is committed to maximizing student learning in a safe and caring environment supported by a highly effective team.

Buffalo Trail Public Schools (BTPS) is actively looking for substitute teachers at all grade levels across the School Division, including Hutterite Colony Schools to join our amazing team for the 2024-2025 school year.

Substitute Teacher applicants must provide the following documents / forms below :

Cover letter : addressed to Ms. Camille Quinton, Assistant Superintendent Human Resources, requesting authorization to teach in our division

Resume : which includes a chronological listing of previous teaching experience (grade / subject) and IFX and AFX placements

3 Professional references : these must be inputted into your applicant profile with Apply to Education including email addresses (references will be contacted via email).

New Employee Form with VOID personal cheque attached

Conditions of Employment Form : signed and witnessed (the witness cannot be a spouse or relative)

School Listing Form : must have at least one school selected

Computer use Agreement Form

Alberta Teaching Certificate : copy / picture

Original TQS statement : the original will be returned to you at your request. If you have applied and it hasn't been issued yet, you must submit a copy of the letter.

You may be approved to sub without a TQS statement but it may impact payment at grid. You can request your TQS to be sent directly to [email protected] on your behalf

Alberta Personal Tax Credits Return Form (TD1AB)

Documents must be completely filled in. For example, you will be asked for your SIN on the employee form and you must also fill it in on both the tax forms.

Upload the mandatory documents in the proper section and the rest of the documents required please upload into the additional documents section.

You will be contacted at your email address with an approval letter when approval has been given to be a substitute teacher with the School Division.

Closing :
