Actuarial Analyst, Life Reinsurance

Salary: $75,000 to $100,000 per year

What You'll Do:

• Pricing and quotation of business within agreed parameters
• Provide life reinsurance actuarial and technical support (traditional and non-traditional structures) for client companies and reinsurance partners
• Conduct experience studies, statistical analysis and perform profitability analysis of reinsurance accounts

What You'll Bring:

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics or related field
• Two SOA or equivalent Actuarial Exams passed (more would be ideal)
• Good knowledge of life insurance products
• Knowledge of pricing principles, profit testing techniques and experience analysis
• Knowledge of sources of data for pricing purposes
• Proficient in Moodys/GGY AXIS
• Proficient in MS-Office tools -- MS-Excel and MS-Access
• Proficient in statistical / data, or math related languages such as R or Python
• Ability to access and analyze data using SQL
• Strong communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

Experience

• 2 years actuarial experience in life insurance or reinsurance, valuation experience would be ideal
• US and/or Canadian life reinsurance market experience would be an asset
