Registered Massage Therapist

Overview :

• Multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary clinic in Maple, Ontario with a collaborative healthcare management model with the following healthcare providers : MDs (physiatry, and sports medicine), Naturopaths, Chiropractors, Psychologists, RMT, Life Coaches, and a mindfulness meditation practitioner.
• We pride ourselves on having a great culture in our clinic with amiable staff and healthcare providers.
• First community-based clinic to receive government funding for select patients in our Chronic Pain Interdisciplinary program which guarantees 10 sessions per patient.

We need a committed individual as patients who enter our program have a treatment booked for 3-4 months.

• 1 on 1 training with an experienced RMT and additional education with Chiropractors, Psychologists, and Mindfulness teachers to increase knowledge in various health-related fields.
• We have clinical rounds every 2 weeks (3 hours per month) to discuss shared patients with all our healthcare providers.

We discuss relevant problems and obstacles that are getting in the way of the patient’s recovery. The time is also used for providers to present on health-related topics to educate the team and promote discussion and learning.

All healthcare providers who attend are financially compensated.

• Extremely low staff turnover rate at the clinic. All providers have been here for many years, and we are looking for an RMT who is looking to stay long-term and grow with our clinic family.

• We are a family business (Owned by a Chiropractor, MD, and business manager) and truly understand the needs of our providers and continually work to improve the clinic staff feedback.
• We use Juvvono an electronic medical records system that requires notes to be done online.
• Compensation will be based on a percentage split, and equipment and linens are supplied.

Job Details :

• Job Types : Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract. Ideally - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
• Salary : $75.00-$85.00 NET per hour.

Responsibilities :

• Examining clients to identify imbalances and painful or tense areas on their bodies.
• Discussing clients’ medical histories, problem areas in their bodies, and expectations before initial massage sessions.
• Referring clients to healthcare professionals where necessary.
• Advising clients on suitable postural improvement techniques and relaxation exercises.

• Sound knowledge of different massage modalities.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
