What You’ll Do :
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Affairs and Communication, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing content strategy that aligns with organizational objectives and meets the needs of our target audiences.
They will work collaboratively with content creators and editors from across the business to ensure that content produced for OGC’s member and customer facing digital platforms is engaging, SEO-optimized and consistent.
Additionally, they will provide content governance and have a holistic view of all OGC external digital platforms to ensure content is updated to maintain relevance and quality standards.
This position requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, collaboration, and analytical skills to drive content initiatives that enhance brand presence and achieve business goals.
The core parts of your role will be to :
Develop a strategy for migrating all content across OTIP websites to a new web and mobile experience in 2024 / 2025 including the compilation and development of English and French content.
Develop content strategies that align with brand and business objectives.
Conduct content audits and provide meaningful reporting and metrics gained from our digital platforms to inform communication and content strategy.
Create compelling digital content tailored to web and mobile platforms.
Govern web and mobile content and advise business on appropriate content strategy to ensure message and brand consistency.
Build and maintain content calendars for web and mobile platforms for a holistic view of digital member journeys.
Collaborate with the OTIP and Orbit communication and marketing teams to share best practices and align on digital content development to ensure consistency across OGC digital platforms.
Analyze market trends and consumer behaviour to ensure content relevance.
Utilize SEO best practices to increase content visibility and engagement to meet business goals.
Demonstrates an ability to keep team members working within established deadlines and brand guidelines.
Alerts Communications Director of challenges and risks that threaten business and brand objectives.
Qualifications
Let’s Talk About You :
This is the unique blend of skills and experience we would love to see in an ideal candidate :
5+ years experience in communications, marketing, digital content creation, or related disciplines.
Post-secondary education in communications, marketing, digital content production, multi-media, copywriting or equivalent with web skills preferred (CMS, flash, HTML coding, etc.).
High level of proficiency in content development and digital media production to translate ideas into digital media strategies and creative concepts.
Proficiency in design, web and multimedia software and applications such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, and content management systems such as Salesforce, Kentico 13 and WordPress.
Proficiency with Google Analytics and SEO best practices.
Must have good knowledge of digital accessibility best practices to meet AODA standards.
Proven knowledge of content production process and project management skills.
Attention to detail highly diligent in proofing their work for grammar, spelling, etc.
Superior time management and organizational skills to manage competing priorities, multiple deadlines and sudden shifts in work volumes where there are concentrated delivery timelines and tight deadlines while balancing established service standards.
Exceptional communication skills and a demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated capability working within defined brand and identity guideline programs.
The ability to communicate in French is considered an asset.
Knowledge in insurance, financial services and / or the education sector is considered an asset.
