Molycop is looking for a motivated process engineer with mineral processing experience who wants to be part of a highly qualified and agile team and become a technical expert on the online analyzers and instrumentation.
You will be operating as part of the Molycop Technology team in Canada and will be involved in the installation, commissioning, support, and continual improvements of advanced process instruments as well as expert process control.
You will also use your process engineering knowledge and skills to integrate the instrumentation with our other advanced technologies.
You will be provided with the necessary training, both in the office and on the job. We are looking for someone to hit the ground running.
Travel will be required to provide on-site services to clients, which will be balanced with office-based work in Mississauga / Oakville area in Ontario, Canada.
Responsibilities and DutiesBecome an expert in all aspects of our analyzers and instruments, and process control solutions.
Installation, commissioning, testing, problem solving, repairing and maintenance of online analyzers, both on-site and remotely (office).
Conduct plant visits at Canadian and international mineral processing plants, which are usually scheduled during weekdays, but might sometimes go over weekends or require to be away from 3 days up 2 weeks at a time.
Online monitoring of our solutions via our IIoT platform.Data analysis and interpretation to solve unique problems and to optimize our clients circuits Write technical documents and reports, e.
g. commissioning reports and conference papers.Be involved in technical and sales presentations with potential clients and prepare technical proposals and bidsOpportunities to be involved in the manufacturing and upgrade design of instruments.
Opportunities to be involved in Advanced Process Control and / or data analytics.Partially working from home for 1-2 days a week is an option after the training period.
QualificationsTertiary qualification(s) in either Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical / Process Engineering or other relevant field and / or extensive experience in the minerals processing industry would be an asset.
Skills and work experienceWe will consider different levels of experience. The following skills are required for the position : Technical background with experience in mining, metallurgical and process engineering projects or in an industrial settingMining and metallurgical experience will be an advantageYears of experience (1-3 years)Good health (for physical work and travel)Very good English communication skills, both oral and written.

Working environmentWe are looking for a candidate living in the GTA / Mississauga / Oakville area for a hybrid role of 3-4 days in the office.
