Mission
Join our team of building mechanics in the greater Montreal area! As an engineer, you will work on a variety of regional and provincial projects in the institutional, commercial, residential and industrial sectors.
In collaboration with your team, you will be responsible for the design, load calculations and layout of plumbing, HVAC and fire protection systems.
You will be able to take advantage of our hybrid work model allowing you to telework, work in the office or combine these two options.
Primary responsibilities
- Actively participate in the design and development of drawings and specifications for ventilation, air conditioning, heating and cooling, plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Determine construction costs and quantities in accordance with standard methods and established drawings and specifications.
- Perform surveys and studies and prepare technical reports.
- Participate in the resolution of technical problems.
- Prepare work progress reports and contribute to the development of the action plan.
- Act as a resource person for the technical team.
- Prepare and monitor fee budgets and make recommendations.
- Participate in the partial supervision of construction work.
- Attend meetings with clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical building engineering
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Fluency in French, both spoken and written
- Fluency in English (an asset)
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle (an asset)
- ASP Construction card
- LEED accreditation or knowledge of sustainable development and energy efficiency principles (an asset)
- Working knowledge of Revit software (an asset)
