A typical day :
- Provide Reservoir Engineering analysis and documentation to the Well Design process in support of the West White Rose development plan
- Provide reservoir management and surveillance of development wells within an integrated subsurface team
- Conduct classical reservoir engineering analysis on producing wells (decline analysis, pressure transient analysis, PVT, interference testing, material balance)
- Contribute to reservoir engineering databases to support field planning and operational learnings
- Organize and manage ad hoc reservoir studies (i.e., special core analysis, fluid analysis, souring)
- Prepare and update regulatory applications and interface with the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB)
- Incorporate Well Designs and Reservoir Data into Reservoir Simulation Forecasts
Successful candidates will have :
- 5-10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, preference for reservoir engineering experience
- Professional Engineer or eligibility for status with PEG-NL is required
- BSc in Engineering, MSc in considered an asset
- Analytic Reservoir modelling (decline analysis, material balance, Well test modelling)
- Reservoir simulation (Well placement, forecasting, history matching observed data)
- Economic & reserve analysis, Pore pressure, fluid analysis, special core analysis
- Programming in Python, Databases, Visual basic an asset
- Data Analytics and Visualization skills an asset (PowerBI, Spotfire, etc.) Experience in Project Management and Project Delivery Models an asset
