Pursuing a career as an Account Director in Business Services, Government and Public Sector Banking means being responsible for growing the portfolio of government business clients assigned to you.

Your varied and complex tasks will quickly make you a privileged guide in all your clients' financial and transactional projects.

This position reports to the Associate Vice President.

Your job :

  • Identify and develop business opportunities in your market, grow your commercial clientele, and establish business development strategies.
  • Achieve your clients' business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on an optimal arrangement of products and services offered by the Bank.
  • Ensure that you meet the evolving needs of clients by adapting and optimizing financial products and sales approaches.
  • Negotiate the terms of agreements with clients, ensuring that they meet risk management standards and the desired profitability criteria.
  • Develop sales and business development plans.
  • Assist the Associate Vice Presidents, Government and Public Sector Banking in achieving objectives.
  • Given the importance of cash management and deposit management, work closely with the Treasury Director and Account Officer to meet needs and develop these products with clients.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Achieve revenue and acquisition objectives.
  • Negotiate and review pricing agreements and respond to public tenders.
  • Collaborate synergistically with internal partners to achieve the financial results of the National Bank.

Your team :

Within the Government and Public Sector Banking sector, you will join our team of specialized professionals who support the various levels of the governmental and parapublic system.

You will also be surrounded by an ecosystem of specialists who will help you propose the best solutions to meet our clients' needs.

Reporting to the Associate Vice President, you will be in charge of a portfolio covering the Quebec government apparatus.

This position is based in Montreal, and you will need to make occasional trips to clients and participate in various professional events.

Our training programs are based on on-the-job learning to help you master your role. You can access personalized training content on topics such as banking solutions and the consultative approach to support your continuous learning.

You will also have access to colleagues with a wide range of expertise, experience, and backgrounds to enrich all aspects of your development.

Prerequisites :

  • Depending on your academic background, a minimum of five to nine years of experience in business development and sales in the financial sector :
  • University certificate or University Banking Program (PUB) and nine years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree and seven years of experience
  • Master's degree and five years of experience
  • Experience in sales and business development
  • Experience in deposit management and treasury products
  • Experience in commercial credit
