POSITION SUMMARY

The 50 / 50 Program began in 1994 and has been successfully raising money in support of the Canucks for Kids Fund at Rogers Arena for the Vancouver Canucks, Vancouver Warriors, Canucks SuperSkills, Abbotsford Canucks, and concerts and other special events.

Funds raised support CFKF charitable recipients, including the Canucks Autism Network, Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, and the Canucks Family Education Center.

This is a part-time, hourly, events-based position.

A typical shift includes :

  • Coordinating the financial, technical, and logistical components of each raffle lottery
  • Organizing, training, and motivating a diverse group of 50 / 50 volunteer sellers
  • Carrying out all pre- and post-draw operations
  • Overseeing the secure handling of electronic equipment and lottery revenues
  • Other duties may be assigned as required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Available to work at least 50% of all events at Rogers Arena each month (this includes Vancouver Canucks games, Vancouver Warriors games, and concerts) with a typical start time of 4 : 30pm
  • Available to work during the Christmas holiday season, spring break, and summer as shifts are dependent on the event schedule
  • Comfortable working with technology, including tablet-based applications
  • Ability to thrive and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • A reliable team player who respects people who volunteer and knows how to make their team’s day
  • Driven with initiative and a commitment to service excellence
  • Experience cash handling and supervising staff is an asset
  • Experience working in a volunteer-focused program is an asset
  • A strong understanding of and commitment to uphold our company values of discipline, respect, excellent, attitude, and mindset (DREAM)
  • Non-Canadian residents must hold a valid work permit expiring no earlier than October 2025
  • Onsite role at Rogers Arena in downtown Vancouver
